Trend Continuation Breakouts
Markets tend to take a break after a long movement in one direction. As a result, you’ll see a period of price consolidation. Trend continuation breakouts signify a resumption of a trend. When the market is in between trends, traders use these signals to determine whether it will stick with the original plan or reverse. Drawing trendline patterns such as triangles and flags helps to catch trend continuation breakouts.
They have three main characteristics.
- A Strong trend:- There has been a strong trend in the market
- A pause:- After the price has moved for a while, it takes a break. Some traders cash out part of their profit at this stage while others load more orders
A Breakout:- A trend continuation pattern can only be complete when we finally see a breakout.
