The $100 Startup
Summary
  • This book is DEFINITELY amazing. If you’re someone who has a dream of starting a business centered around something you love, yet you don’t have the money for it, this is the book for it. The $100 startup is essentially a case-study book showing how several business owners grew their business to over $50,000+ in Profit while starting with $100 or less. The author Chris, gives some very unconventional ways of going about starting your business.
  • A lot of people think they need $10,000 to start a business, or they focus so much on the domain name, and legalities, and patents when the reality is… you just need to focus on starting your business, and focusing on the skills that you have and why do other people need them/it. Why should someone buy your jewelry? Why should someone trust your service-based company? Chris breaks it down by using the case studies of other businessmen, all the way down to square one. After reading this book, you’re going to think to yourself: “I need to just start. Why am I waiting for the perfect moment. It doesn’t exist.” It’ll really motivate you to execute what you’ve been thinking all along, as opposed to sitting in your bed and writing the next million dollar business plan, and then 2 weeks later, you forgot about it. Highly recommend this book for those who have dreams of starting a business yet they don’t have the money AND/OR feel like they don’t have the time; because this book also suggests you should keep your 9-5 while starting this side business, which I agree with!
